Courtney Lockemer of Sunday Shift shared the impact of belonging to the VAE community.
“The community of makers I’ve found at VAE has been the thing that has kept me going while I’ve launched my small business. They don’t only provide me with advice and expertise, but they inspire me with their own work and show me that what I want to do is possible.”
This collaboration between artists and venue provides an opportunity for consumers to make conscious purchases, while also supporting the local artist.
“The impact of being able to sell my goods in the Lab Launch shop have been tremendous. I live in New Bern, NC, so being able to reach customers in Raleigh has been great” said Nikki Tyler of Little Lovelies Studio.
The Gimme LOCAL Shoppe is open through December 21, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. — 10:00 p.m. with pricing beginning at just $4. Learn more about Red Hat’s sponsorship of the LAB at VAE Raleigh.
