Each year VAE Raleigh provides local artists with an opportunity to take over The LAB space for two months. This year the launch artists and few special guests have created a shopping wonderland filled with free-range, locally-sourced, handmade wares by:

  • Amy Draws
  • Bird & Beau
  • Chocolate Chippy
  • Curtis Blake Leather
  • Dave Greway Designs
  • Elena Caron
  • Eliza Campbell Kiser
  • EmoJugs
  • Found Folk
  • Gretchen Quinn
  • Haden Designs
  • Melsie Glass
  • Little Lovelies Studio
  • Liz Kelly Pottery
  • Mimi Logothetis
  • Pedestrian
  • Porch Fly Clothing
  • Redden Goods
  • Sunday Shift
  • Woodcrafty

Courtney Lockemer of Sunday Shift shared the impact of belonging to the VAE community.

“The community of makers I’ve found at VAE has been the thing that has kept me going while I’ve launched my small business. They don’t only provide me with advice and expertise, but they inspire me with their own work and show me that what I want to do is possible.”

This collaboration between artists and venue provides an opportunity for consumers to make conscious purchases, while also supporting the local artist.

“The impact of being able to sell my goods in the Lab Launch shop have been tremendous. I live in New Bern, NC, so being able to reach customers in Raleigh has been great” said Nikki Tyler of Little Lovelies Studio.
