“Halloween is a big deal here at Red Hat. Our love of celebrating All Hallows’ Eve began with Marc Ewing’s “Halloween” release of Red Hat Linux in 1994. The top Halloween costumes back in the mid-90’s were probably something along the lines of Barney and the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers.
The most obvious reason why Red Hat employees love celebrating on October 31st is that we are all undoubtedly a bunch of nerds. Everyone from executives to software engineers—and of course our super creative design team—cannot pass on the chance to participate in the spook-tacular that takes place in our Raleigh headquarters. Decorations, activities, and a game of Clue that encompasses our entire office is hard to pass up on. Match that with the chance to dress up and no nerd could resist. Here’s a look inside our Halloween fun!
